Beliefs

Church on the Mall is a warm community of faith which seeks to be an expression of God's grace and love to the world.  We are part of The Presbytery of Philadelphia and the Presbyterian Church (USA), although our members and guests hail from a variety of denominations and backgrounds.  We value the diversity of theological beliefs among our members, and feel it is our common calling to be a disciple of Jesus Christ that ultimately unites us.

Our congregation uplifts the call to Christian hospitality, and aims to create a space where every person who joins us for worship or other programs feels genuinely welcome.  We believe we are participating in God's church, where not one of us is more welcome than another, from longtime members to first time guests.

We believe that faith is active, and our call to be the church includes a deep desire to care for one another with Christian love, and to reach out to our neighbors and the world with that same love.  Our Deacons take on the official role of caring for those within our congregation through visits, cards, and calls.  Our Mission Committee provides opportunities for outreach to our community and beyond. We are part of the Interfaith Council of Conshohocken, Plymouth Meeting, and Whitemarsh, and value being part of a larger faith community.
